Cheong U, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture and Chairperson of CDT hosted the Second CDT Plenary Meeting in the Tourism Activities Centre on 4^th December. In the Meeting, Chan Peng Fai, Chief of Cultural and Creative Industries Promotion Department of Cultural Affairs Bureau, introduced the concept and route of the “Parade Through Macao, Latin City”, as well as the working plan of Art Cinema, Marine Workshop, Macao Cultural and Creative Map, etc. Then, José Maria da Fonseca Tavares, Acting Director of Macau Sport Development Board, introduced a video of the upcoming sports events. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of Macau Government Tourist Office, described the progress in optimizing travel signage, the 2014 work plan and the promotional video of "Macau e-Channel". In addition, Wong Mei Cheng, Secretary General of CDT, introduced the English version of the department website (www.cdt.gov.mo).

    Cheong U stated that the tourism, cultural and sports related activities in 2014 are diverse and effective in promoting tourism; meanwhile, briefly introduced the work plan of Tourism Development Committee for the first half of 2014.

    Before the meeting ended, the committee members expressed comments and recommendations regarding tourism industry and interacted with the government representatives. Speeches were given by Frederick Yip Wing Fat, Kan Man Neng, Ieong Chi Wa, Wong Ian Man, Chan Chak Mo, Ieong Weng Seng, Hoi Man Pak, Liu Suning, Chan Hon Sang and Manuel Gonçalves Pires Júnior, etc, mainly discussed the issues of "WiFiGo" service, "Heritage Law", coach rental and tour-guide management, and gave comments and suggestions in regard to the 2014 government work plan.
